3/28/12 Update
I let my poor blog languish for a long time, putting all my grand plans for it on hold, but now I want to revitalize it, so here I am. Hubby and I no longer live in Kansas; our new home state is Nebraska and there are plenty of new adventures to be had here. My plans now for this blog are to chronicle my adventures in learning about Nebraska and, since Iowa, South Dakota, Missouri, and Kansas are all fairly nearby, there might even be some postings about trips to those places as well. You’ll also find a lot of postings on history, books, creativity, and all manner of curious things here. Really whatever happens to be my obsession at the moment. I have a pretty short attention span so be prepared for a lot of random diversity.
From 2010
In a nutshell, I’m a wife, daughter, sister, friend, mama to three curious kitties, amateur historian, daydreamer, wanna-be pirate, Star Trek nerd, avid reader, movie lover, and all-around eccentric personality. Or so I’ve been told. I think I’m completely normal, but I’ve been wrong before. I moved to Kansas with my hubby not quite 3 years ago now, and part of this blog will be about my efforts to explore my still-new home state. And, no, I don’t know where the yellow brick road is, I’ve never seen a tornado, and I’m pretty sure I haven’t met Dorothy. Not yet, anyway.
Great to meet you. Give it time – everyone has a Dorothy – you’ll meet her.
Great to meet you, as well. You may be right about Dorothy, time will tell. 🙂
